Chapter - 3rd The Truth She Never Saw Coming

The morning felt unusually silent in the Shrivastav house.

Breakfast was laid on the table, but one place remained empty.

Anil looked around, irritation mixed with concern.

Anil:

“Where is Roshni?”

“She hasn’t come for breakfast yet?”

Sunita hesitated.

Sunita:

“You were angry with her last night. She must be upset.”

“I’ll check on her.”

Sunita walked toward Roshni’s room.

Within seconds—

A piercing scream shattered the silence.

Anil ran toward the room in panic.

Sunita stood frozen near the bed, tears streaming down her face.

Anil (shocked):

“What happened, Sunita?”

“Where is Roshni?!”

With trembling hands, Sunita handed him a letter.

Anil read it.

His world collapsed.

Sunita (crying uncontrollably):

“She ran away…”

“Roshni ran away from home.”

“She loves someone…”

“She took money and jewellery with her.” 😭

Anil (voice breaking):

“No… this can’t be true.”

“My Roshni can’t do this…”

Sunita (terrified):

“I don’t know who that boy is.”

“What if he hurts her?”

“I want my daughter back!”

“Call the police!” 😭

Anil wiped his tears, his face hardened by fear and pride.

Anil:

“No.”

“We can’t involve the police.”

“It’s a matter of my honour.” 🥺

Sunita:

“I don’t care about honour!”

“I just want my daughter!” 😭

Anil took a deep breath.

Anil:

“Come with me.”

“There’s only one person who can help us now.”

At Malhotra Mansion

Ahana was surprised to see Anil and Sunita at the door—both pale, both trembling.

Ahana:

“Uncle… is everything okay?”

Anil:

“Where are Raghav and Aman?”

“We need them immediately.”

Reva came forward.

The moment Sunita saw her, she broke down completely.

She held Reva’s hands and pleaded.

Sunita:

“Reva… please.”

“Call Aman.”

“Something terrible has happened.”

Reva’s heart sank.

She immediately asked Ahana to call Aman and Raghav.

Within minutes, they arrived.

The sight of Anil and Sunita crying left everyone stunned.

Raghav:

“Anil… what happened?”

Anil struggled to speak.

Anil:

“My daughter…”

“Roshni…”

Aman (alarmed):

“What happened to Roshni?”

Sunita handed the letter to Aman.

Sunita:

“She ran away.”

Aman read the letter slowly.

Each word felt like a blow.

Aman’s thoughts:

How could Roshni do something like this?

How could she make such a dangerous mistake?

Aman (firmly):

“Uncle, we should inform the police.”

Anil (panicked):

“No!”

“My daughter’s name will be ruined.”

“People will question her character.”

Raghav:

“Anil, nothing like that will happen.”

“We are with you.”

Aman:

“Trust me.”

“I’ll talk to the police.”

Aman contacted the police and shared every detail—including the bike number he had noticed that day.

The police immediately began their search, ensuring the matter stayed away from the media.

Meanwhile… Somewhere in Lucknow

Roshni and Raj had not left the city yet.

Raj stopped the bike near a small tea stall.

Raj:

“Wait here.”

“I need to make a quick call.”

Roshni’s heart raced.

Roshni:

“We’re still in Lucknow.”

“My parents must have found out by now.”

“We need to leave quickly.”

Raj laughed lightly.

Raj:

“Relax.”

“Just one call.”

He walked a little away and dialed a number.

This call was to the man behind everything.

Harsh Arora—manager of Sheela Shrivastav.

Raj:

“Hello…”

“The work is done.”

“Roshni has left her father’s house and come with me.”

Harsh (coldly):

“Excellent.”

“Send me your location.”

“I’ll arrange someone to pick her up.”

Raj:

“First send my money.”

“Right now.”

Harsh:

“Don’t act smart.”

“Bring her first.”

(Call disconnected)

Raj’s face darkened.

Raj (to himself):

“So you don’t want to pay?”

“Fine.”

“I’ll get money another way.”

He glanced at Roshni with a cruel smile.

Raj made another call.

Raj:

“Ashoka?”

Ashoka:

“Ah! Long time, brother.”

“What’s the news?”

Raj:

“I have a girl.”

Ashoka:

“Bring her.”

Raj:

“I need money immediately.”

Ashoka:

“Deal.”

“Bring her to the nearby house.”

Raj ended the call.

Unnoticed by him, the tea stall owner had overheard everything.

---

The Trap Closes

Raj rode only a short distance.

Ashoka was already waiting.

They hugged casually.

Ashoka handed Raj a bag full of money.

Roshni watched in confusion.

Roshni:

“Raj… what’s happening?”

Raj smiled coldly.

Raj:

“Thank you.”

(lifting the bag)

He turned to leave.

Roshni followed—but Ashoka grabbed her wrist.

Ashoka (smirking):

“You’re not going anywhere.”

“I just bought you.” 😈

Roshni (horrified):

“What are you saying?!”

(looking at Raj)

“Raj, tell him to leave me!”

Raj laughed.

Raj:

“Not we.”

“I’m leaving.”

“Sorry, Roshni.”

“I never loved you.”

“It was all a lie.”

“I was paid to trap you.”

“And now… I’ve sold you.”

Roshni’s world shattered.

Her body trembled.

Tears streamed down her face.

Roshni:

“No… you’re lying…”

“I left my parent's for you…” 😭

Raj (mocking):

“You trusted a stranger more than your parents.”

“That’s your mistake.”

Raj rode away without looking back.

Roshni tried to run—but Ashoka held her tightly.

She screamed, cried, begged.

But no one came.

Ashoka dragged her inside the house and locked the door.

Ashoka:

“You belong here now.”

“Don’t try to escape.” 😈

Roshni collapsed to the floor.

Her sobs echoed in the dark room.

Her innocence… her trust… her life—

Everything was destroyed.
